I gave in to the trend. Check my blog

Food, Glorious Food
-
My friends ask for my
recipes. The ones I actually write
down are here. Most are a little
exotic. If you saw the article in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch on 18 August 2010 … follow these links to the original recipe for Raspberry Tiramisu.

Microsoft
Excel
-
I have specialized in Excel for about
23 years, all the way back to
version 1.0 that came with a run-time
version of Windows 2.0.
There are three sections in my guide to
Excel:
-
Most of my work the past few yeara has been
in Access and SQL. Watch this space for
solutions based on Access. I have also
been learning how to program the
interface in Outlook. Cool stuff!

Falkland Islands Philately
-
Remember when they had a war in the
Falklands in 1982? I had already been
collecting its stamps for 13
years. Here is a bunch of
information and pictures of Falkland Islands
stamps; primarily related to my
exhibit of the 1-penny value and study
of bisect period from the Queen
Victoria period.

Alphabet Soup
-
Have you gotten into this whole
alphabet soup of new web technologies?
I have with a vengeance! I am combining
all the tools I have learned into one
group. Here are my attempts with:
- JavaScript - I learn at least one
new language a year (or so it seems).
Here is my first practical use for
JavaScript. I wanted the
ability for my pages "look" to
change somewhat dynamically.
- hAtom - There is some really cool stuff you can do. I added hslice to the Stamp Expo page so that one can subscribe to the list of societies coming in future years. I plan to add the same thing to Greater Mound City for meeting updates and newsletters.

Geography
-
I've gotten loopy about Missouri history. In my
spare time (?) I am putting together
the database for the Missouri
Postal History Society. Check how
well it's coming. I am also the web-idiot for the Indiana Postal History Society.
- Genealogy
- One of my more recent pursuits is tracing my family lineage using DNA testing.
-
Calligraphy
- Yes, the name at the top of the page is in my everyday handwriting!
